System overview

The HFWBS-2000 Background Monitoring System is a set of intelligent monitoring system specially designed for PV power stations and wind power projects integrated with the function of data acquisition, processing, display, remote control, remote regulating, abnormal alarm, analysis and report, which can not only monitor the operation of equipment, such as photovoltaic cell array, combiner box, low voltage DC cabinet, inverter cabinet, AC low voltage cabinet, box-type substation, etc. in real time, but also remotely control and operate switches, disconnecting link and gear shifting devices in the station to guarantee the safe operation of power station and meet the needs of daily operation of power station operators and the monitoring of superior systems or dispatching. The system focuses on the monitoring and analysis of operation of equipment inside the power station. Compared with traditional power station monitoring systems, the system can realize not only the refinement, effective processing and analysis of the collected data with more intuitive display of monitoring interface, but also the quick location of faults of box-type substation, inverter and battery series branches, which effectively improves the operation and maintenance efficiency.

➊ Establish real-time, reliable and complete data acquisition system to collect the information and operating parameters of on-site device, such as combiner box, DC incoming cabinet, grid-connected inverter, box-type transformer, booster station, etc. 

➋Establish reliable and stable data storage mechanism to solve the problem of large amount of data in much monitoring equipment of new energy power stations, so as to ensure the data security of power stations. 

➌ Establish reliable monitoring mechanism to ensure the safety of remote control and regulating of power station and the timely feedback to equipment alarm, so as to ensure the safe operation of the entire power station. 

➍ Establish the remote monitoring platform of the new energy power station for the power station personnel to monitor the running state of power station remotely. 

➎ Establish data analysis system for the operation and maintenance personnel to find the problems existing in the new energy power station square array easily and quickly, conduct data statistical analysis in a scientific way and master the rules, so as to improve the efficiency, reduce the cost and increase the economic benefits. 

➏ Implement the management mode of unattended operation and only a few persons on duty for the new energy power station to reduce operation and maintenance cost and achieve the purpose of increase efficiency by downsizing payrolls. 

➐ Establish the power station data forwarding platform for data forwarding and reporting with other systems. 

System function 
Data acquisition

The real-time data acquisition of on-site device of new energy power stations includes information and operating parameters of combiner box, DC incoming cabinet, grid-connected inverter, box-type substation, booster station, etc., and the types of acquisition signals include analog quantity, pulse and switching quantity. The analog quantity includes main operating parameters of electric equipment, such as voltage, current and real-time power; the pulse quantity includes active power and reactive power; the switching quantity includes interrupt switching quantity, such as accident tripping signal, circuit breaker and important relay protection action signals, and non-interrupt switching quantity, such as all kinds of fault signals, position signals of circuit breaker and disconnecting switch and equipment state signal.   

Support communication protocols of all kinds of control systems (such as MODBUS, IEC61850, IEC60870-5-103 and IEC60870-5-104) and stability of acquisition process to ensure the real-time and integrity of data acquisition. 

Data processing 

(1)Collection cycle of the analog quantity 

Analog quantity input: Adopt AC sampling and DC 4mA - 20mA. For the electrical quantity of the measuring and control unit of the interval level, except that the temperature is input by the transmitter, AC sampling shall be applied to other electrical quantities. Input the secondary value of CT and PT to calculate I, U, P, Q, F, CosΦ. The data of intelligent watt-hour meter is acquired through serial port communication. 

Timing collection: Collect data regularly according to refresh cycle and carry out corresponding conversion, filtering, accuracy check,  Database updates, etc. Out-of-limit alarm: Conduct dead zone judgment and out-of-limit alarm for analog quantity according to the preset limiting value. The alarm information shall include the content of alarm text, parameter value, alarm time, etc. 

(2) Collection and processing of state quantity (switching quantity) 

Switching quantity signal input: photoelectric isolation input (strong current 220V), over-passive contact input; for devices to be controlled, such as circuit breaker, and ground switch, the double-position contact signal is collected.

Timing collection: Collect the input quantity according to refresh cycle and conduct the status checkout, database update, etc.

Equipment exception alarm: When the state of the monitored equipment changes, equipment displacement indication or abnormal alarm shall occur and the alarm information shall include the alarm text, the nature of the event and alarm time. 

Recording of sequence of events: The sequence of events of switching quantity which requires faster reaction such as the circuit breaker position signal, relay protection action signal, etc. shall be recorded according to the sequence of time when the displacement occurs. 

(3)Collection and processing of pulse quantity 

The system provides the function of pulse accumulation in different time segments and directions, and the pulse counting is stored with time scale. At the same time, the system can set the time interval according to the user's needs for freezing, reading and de-freezing the cumulative value of pulse quantity accordingly. 

Real-time monitoring 

It mainly carries out real-time monitoring on the running state of key equipment, such as environment monitoring instrument, inverter, DC distribution cabinet, AC distribution cabinet and box-type transformer of power station. Through remote real-time monitoring, the power station management, operation and maintenance personnel can monitor and control the power station by means of production simulation diagram, tendency chart, bar chart and parameter classification table, etc.
